Francisco de Goya

Francisco de Goya, "The custody is as barbarous as the crime."

An etching from his 'Prisoner' series. This brutal etching was made around ~1810. Not released until his death due to the political implications. Each etching was titled depicting his views on the torture of prisoners.

Back print is a crude variation from his most famous painting, "Saturn Devouring His Son".

A true master of his craft.

Hand screen printed with red and white discharge ink. Discharge ink actually dyes the garment itself instead of the ink laying on top of the garment. This makes for a totally weightless, highly detailed print! Complete with Goya's signature.
